Do home inspectors need to be licensed?

  • Yes!  In New York all home inspectors need to be licensed through the New York State Department of State.  My N.Y.S. license is: 16000051830

How long does a home inspection take?

  • An average single family house can take 2-3 hours.  Larger and older houses can take longer.

Who is present at the inspection?

  • It's important that you (the buyer or seller), be present during the inspection.  The inspector will want to show you first hand the favorable or unfavorable conditions found at that time.

Will I receive a report?

  • Yes.  Within 48 hours of the inspection, I will send you an e-mail containing a link to your comprehensive and easy to read report on the internet with color pictures.  This report is printable and can be sent to anyone you choose.

How much does an inspection cost?

  • The cost varies depending on the number of additional services you need.  Package deals are available.
